From the latest statistics available (2021) there were 624,828 new births in a single year in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland) and over 139 million worldwide.

That's just over 1,700 per day for the UK and over 380,000 every day across the world.

The most popular date for births in the UK is 26th September (conceived over Christmas the preceeding year) and the least common are 25th/26th December (induced labour and cesarean births are not usually scheduled for these days).
